Author’s Urgent Request: First, thank you to all that have purchased my books. However, it was recently brought to my attention that more people are purchasing my first book, Education’s Missing Ingredient, than its second edition, The Crucial Voice of the People, Past and Present. So my appeal to all is this. If you are serious about wanting to help make education laws, policies and practices work best for ALL public school students, please consider the second edition.

Want to STOP the demise of the United States of America’s public education system? The second edition is a must read!

If you are looking to make a difference in your own local schools and don’t have much time to dig deeper, the first edition should fit your needs and I am always available on social media or by email to help where I can.

The major policy change made since the books were published is the name of the federal law “No Child Left Behind” (NCLB) to the “Every Student Succeeds Act” (ESSA). Was it made “better”? THIS additional information provided on my second website should help you decide.

No doubt, you can make a difference in your schools, your community’s schools, or the nation’s schools — if you wish.

It’s true. But we must proceed wisely. it’s essential to develop a full understanding of the good policies that produced the results we desired, historically.

What made our system great? That is what my research dug up.

Sure there are barriers to improving education. But — none of them can stop a group of determined parents, grandparents, and citizens on a mission to improve their schools.

Simply stated — first — we need to get on the same page. Literally.

Learn about the step-wise improvement process that does work.

After reading The Necessary Revolution in American Education, I had to write a second edition. The Crucial Voice was published in 2012.

You know there is no “silver bullet.” But do you understand the single process for solving the common problems in our public schools? Please read The Crucial Voice of the People and learn how that process has worked previously to improve the type of schools we say we need to improve.

What the country needs to know is that there is a better alternative available to the costly and risky “school choice” option the nation is being forced to accept. It’s time we have that discussion.

Education’s Missing Ingredient: What Parents Can Tell Educators

Because this is a quick, easy read, you will rapidly grasp the vision and process for educational improvement. One reader said he read it in a weekend (but was going back to take notes).

“Without those parents who question and who point out those unique community needs and history, schools will never truly meet the needs of children.  Victoria ’s book is a call to those parents sitting on the sidelines.”  Mary Ollie, four-time recipient of the state-level Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching

No matter which book you choose to buy or borrow, both contain the same vision for education reform.

Having a shared vision is the first step in finally achieving the twin goals set by President John F. Kennedy and were written into law in 1965.

An Act

“To strengthen and improve educational quality and educational opportunities in the Nation’s elementary and secondary schools.”
